On Monday, May 8th, we attended “Practical solutions for the control of effluents” Seminar which took place in Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano de Rosario. The event was attended by more than 60 professionals and students interested in knowing the current options to control and monitor effluents properly.

The lecture was given by Dr. Diego Grassi, the Training and Applications Manager of Jenck SA, and by Javier Wolanski, a chemical technician of the same company, who informed and talked about the current regulatory standards on industrial liquid effluent dumping, as well as that authorities that deal with this issue. Among other interesting topics, the speakers discussed how to identify the tools available to control COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), pH, phenols, detergents, settleable solids, chromium, sulfides, cyanides and hydrocarbons, among others.

ISI Oilfield Chemicals and its staff are aware of the importance of effluent control and monitoring; therefore, we have professional teams that are always keeping up with methods and techniques to evaluate and monitor the quality of our effluents.
