To continue driving innovation in the energy industry, we hosted a new technology workshop at our operational base in Vista Alegre, Neuquén. The event featured an in-depth presentation of Y-PolyPlug, a technology co-developed by ISI Oilfield Chemicals and Y-TEC, the technology company of YPF.
The workshop brought together representatives from key industry players, including Chevron, Total Energies, Pluspetrol, Pan American Energy, Chevron, ZMC, Calfrac, Latitud-45, El Tronador, Pecom, among others.
The agenda included a guided tour of the facilities and a detailed technical session covering everything from product formulation to its operational applications in the field.
Y-PolyPlug: a high-value technology for the Oil & Gas industry
Y-PolyPlug is an advanced polymer system formulated by blending Epoxy, Butadiene, and Polyurethane. Such formula enhances the product mechanical properties, including elasticity and adhesion.
This technology was specifically engineered for use in primary and secondary cementing, wellhead remediation, and well abandonment operations. It provides a sealing barrier that is both durable and highly resistant to thermal and mechanical fatigue.
One of its key advantages is its ability to manage Sustained Casing Pressure (SCP); as a result, long-term seal integrity is ensured even after multiple fracturing cycles. Thanks to its versatility, it can be adapted to a wide range of operating conditions; thus, this product is an innovative solution for today’s field challenges.
At ISI Oilfield Chemicals, we remain committed to developing high-impact technologies that meet the current and future needs of the industry.
This event showcased the collaborative efforts we’ve been building with strategic players in Argentina’s energy market and brought together applied research, operational expertise, and local manufacturing capabilities.
We continue to strengthen our mission to deliver innovative and reliable chemical solutions that support the sustainable growth of the oil & gas sector.
